*** ENGLISH ***

Repair Cafe is a sustainable community concept where volunteer enthusiasts (fixers) assist local citizens (users) to repair faulty items that would otherwise have been discarded. The purpose is to give new life to everyday consumer items such as mobile chargers, shirts, toasters, old chandeliers, kitchen appliances etc. Free of charge.

The Association Repair Cafe Denmark does not itself arrange repair cafes, but is an cooperation of local Repair Cafes. We will stand together to change the waste-generating consumer culture. We will influence the legislation to force production of goods with focus on reparability, transparency and easy access to spare parts and documentation. We are of course member of the Right to Repair campaign in Europe.

Our local Repair Cafes all work according to the following guidelines:

  • Repair Cafe should not compete with, but work together with the local business community.
  • Repairs must not be made for commercial use.
  • All repairs shall be free – spare parts will be paid by users.
  • Repairs are done together with the users, and fixers cannot be held responsible for any deterioration / damage that occurs during attempted repair.

Repair Cafe Denmark also hosts and participates in various Repair Cafe events and workshops around Denmark.
